Interior Decoration

I had been hunting for cushions for the bench we'd made that would be firm and thick and resilient. The best prices I could find for a good quality foam were really astronomical (for me) and with cover, I was looking at over $500 which was too, too much. So I procrastinated doing anything until one day, at a moving sale, I found four mighty down sofa cushions wrapped in high quality foam and in cotton duck zippered covers that just so happened to fit the dimensions of the bench perfectly. I bought those plus a set of Euro square pillows for $50. Then I found a bolt of fabric at the local salvage store for $6 and some curtains at another yard sale for $2.

Then I found a bolt of fabric at the local salvage store for $6, some curtains at another yard sale for $2 and a happy heavy striped cotton rug at yet another yard sale for $3.

Ah.... Now that's what I'm talking about!

I am green (olive green), green (green gold), green (hooker's green) with envy for your new, clean, uncluttered and lovely space! It's so clean, so open, and so much of your own work went into it - a great accomplishment. I can't wait to see you start working in here - I want to come visit - I want a studio like this - oh, but I'm so happy for you!! I know much beauty will be created in this little art sanctuary! Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by, Rhonda!

I know that this is a bit of a time warp but I actually moved into the studio in August - September of 2006. All of the art work I've posted on my painting and studies blogs was made in the studio. Pretty soon, I'll catch up on this blog (Diary of a Studio) to the present day. It's been a challenge, to say the LEAST, to blog a story of 1 - 2 years ago simulaneously with another of 11 years ago (The Grand Tour), while juggling 3 current blogs. I'm enjoying the studio and the blogging. Looking forward to integration in 2008!
